Terms of Service

Last updated: · Policy version 1.0

Schedulink helps workplaces organize schedules and share them with their teams. These terms explain the responsibilities that come with using it.

1. Your agreement

These terms apply to schedulink.ca and the Schedulink app (the “Service”). “Schedulink,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of this Service. By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service after these terms are brought to your attention, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Questions: support@schedulink.ca.

You must be at least 13 and legally able to accept these terms, or have any authorization required from a parent, guardian, or organization. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it.

2. Accounts and workplace administration

Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Use your own account. A workplace’s Primary Admin and authorized managers control its membership, permissions, rules, and shared records. The Primary Admin label is an app role; it does not establish legal ownership of a business.

You may enter or invite other people only when authorized and with any notices, permissions, or lawful basis required. Workplace administrators remain responsible for managing access and ensuring their organization uses the Service lawfully.

3. Schedules, records, and estimates

Your workplace is responsible for the schedules, staffing decisions, employee information, time-off records, rules, and instructions it enters. Confirm important changes with your manager. Schedulink is not your employer and does not make employment decisions.

Hours, pay, premiums, deductions, holidays, and conflict indicators are planning estimates based on entered settings. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. Independently verify them before relying on them for pay, attendance, tax, safety, or legal decisions. The Service is not a payroll, tax, accounting, or legal service. Keep appropriate independent records and backups.

4. Permitted use and your content

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purposes while you follow these terms. Schedulink’s software, branding, and other materials remain owned by their respective owners. You retain your rights in information you submit and authorize us to host, copy, process, display, and transmit it only to provide, secure, support, and maintain the Service or as legally required.

Do not misuse personal information, send unauthorized invitations or spam, submit unlawful content, distribute malware, bypass access or billing controls, interfere with the Service, generate fraudulent ad activity, or obtain data you are not authorized to access. Limit submissions to information appropriate for workplace scheduling.

5. Plans, advertising, and third parties

Free access may have employee allowances, feature limits, and advertising. Any paid subscription is subject to the price, taxes, billing frequency, renewal, cancellation, and refund information presented when you agree to purchase it, together with your mandatory legal rights. Using the Free plan alone does not authorize a paid subscription.

We may change features or plan limits with reasonable notice where practical and legally required. Changes to an agreed paid arrangement will follow the applicable purchase terms and law. External services, advertisements, and links are provided by third parties; their own terms and privacy practices may apply.

6. Availability and ending access

We may maintain, update, restrict, suspend, or discontinue the Service or an account for security, misuse, legal requirements, unpaid agreed charges, plan limits, or operational reasons. We will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to retrieve data where practical and legally required; urgent security or legal situations may require immediate action. You may stop using the Service and contact support about closure or deletion. Retention is explained in the Privacy Policy.

7. Warranties and limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. No online service or storage system can be guaranteed secure or free of loss.

To the extent permitted by law, Schedulink and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, business interruption, missed shifts, or lost data. Our total aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of CAD $100 or the fees you paid us for the affected Service during the preceding 12 months.

These exclusions and limits apply only where lawful. They do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, or take away non-waivable consumer, employment, privacy, or other statutory rights. Mandatory law prevails over conflicting wording.

8. Business users

Where permitted by law, an organization using the Service agrees to indemnify the operator against reasonable third-party claims, losses, and costs arising from that organization’s unlawful use, unauthorized submissions, or material breach of these terms. This does not cover losses caused by our own negligence, misconduct, or breach of law, and does not impose an employee’s workplace obligations on that employee personally.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms prospectively. We will show the updated date and provide additional notice or seek agreement to material changes where required. Invalid provisions will be limited or severed without affecting the remainder, to the extent lawful. Contact support@schedulink.ca about questions or disputes so we can try to resolve them.
